How can I get my dog to not have a panic attack everytime I try to clip her nails?

Yes, the baby is terrified of this, the dog really needs to go to your vet to have this done, he can control her, and if you continue to try to do it, in the state of mind she is, you may cut too short and then you will have a bleeder on your hands.
please take to the vet to have it done, not a groomer, yes they can do it, but a dog this scared needs to let a vet do it…
for the safety of your little dog, pls take to the vet….
she will thank you in the long run, for not hurting her.

My dog does the same thing. That is why I take him to the groomer’s for his manicures.

Be careful, and possibly just take her to a groomer or a vet. If she’s that sensitive, her nails may be irritating her. Don’t try to clip them, vets and groomers have equipment and techniques that can help calm the dog down. Also, to help keep her nails rounded and short, let her run around on concrete every now and then. My grandparents did it with their dog, and her nails stayed pretty well rounded.

You will have to gain her trust and assurance that you will not hurt her when you handle and trim the nails. You could try touching and manipulating her toes and nails while you hold her and watch television. Just off and on. After a few sessions of this, she should settle down some.
When you do the trimming, be sure to get a helper to hold her for you. Whatever you do, do not cut too close or do anything else that would cause pain. Stay in control, but don’t try to do all four feet at once. Just one foot a day for a while until the job is done.
Consider buying one of the new grinders for trimming dog’s nails. You can trim them a little further back with that. And, it leaves a much rounder and smoother end on the nail.
